Why Blog?

Why Blog?

Communication is the key to all good business.  It doesn’t matter how good you are at what you do or how innovative your service or product is, if you don’t tell anyone it won’t mean a thing.

It is a common error to over-sell and turn people off at a time when they aren’t (yet) interested in what you have to offer.

Pushing something that doesn’t resonate with the audience can be counter-productive (who really enjoys answering the door to Jehovah’s Witnesses?) and repetitively asking people to buy a product or service they don’t require can alienate them when they might have a need for what you sell.

Therefore blogging can keep your business name in front of a wide audience of existing, potential and even unlikely customers. Just like getting to know new people in a different neighbourhood, you can develop a relationship for what you do without anyone feeling they are being asked to buy anything at all.

Regular, friendly messages enhance recall and give your business a personality. It helps develop a rapport between you and potential customers – while also maintaining existing relationships at a healthy level.

Blogs don’t have to be extensive, time-consuming or overly complicated. Good advice, put well, is sometimes all it takes.

And then you might just have a friend forever.
